Good Going!

It's been a while since I blogged.....  No-one has missed me I know, no-one reads these!! lol!

My weight is going GOOD!!  I am now at 10 stone and 8.5 lbs!  Well chuffed!!  It did go up a bit but then went back down again!  I am only half a pound from loosing a stone, and I am really pleased with that, I know it's slow going as I've been trying since the new year but I have only really started loosing it properly since 21 of May, so that is only nine and a half weeks!!

The running is going slow, I did get a bit of a cold last week, wasn't bad but it did knock me back a wee bit.  I did 7.5 miles yesterday, found it tough but got it done.  I'm meant to do 9 on Sunday, might try a 10.....  I'm going for a long walk with my big sister on Saturday, she says that will be good for my training too!  It's meant to be sunny so that will be nice!  Just hope she doesn't walk too fast! lol.

Work is same old same old......  Just done six days in a trot, Sunday was a bit of a nightmare though!  Self scans and coinstars going wrong didn't help matters!!  AND everybody and their mother's decided to come shopping at 3:30 when we needed to get closed for four!!  They had all bloody day!!  ARGHHH!! Anyway, only one more Sunday to work before the Great North Run!

Melmber, Rainton and weight!

Well, it's been a while!
Melmerby 10k went OK, it was a VERY hot day so times not too good, did it in 1:20:31, slower again on last year but not too worried.
Rainton 10k should have been better as weather was OK but training hadn't been done, did that in 1:23:33, again slower than last year, wasn't going to do it but got persuaded by friends, I'm glad I did it though because the medal is lovely and it was apparently the last one!!!  Real shame that, it is a very nice race!!

So, the weight..........  Well, I am only 3/4 of a pound off loosing a whole stone!! (BMI (28.17 was originally 33.26 and obese) still saying overweight at but I am!!)  Don't know what clicked but it might be either:

* The Wanted concert on July 15.
* A trip to go to see the Paralympics on September 3 (going with work!  So chuffed about that one!!)
* Great North Run half marathon on October 16.
* My and hubbies holiday on October 1.
* David Essex concert on October 25!!

Such a busy back end of year!  I guess the accumulation of all the above have helped, either way, I'll take it thank you very much!!

Melmerby 10k

Today I have the Melmerby 10k, one of my favourite races!  Mainly because it was my first one!  But, before I even get to the start line today, I found out that my daughter has thrown away my race no!  Can't believe it!! Not the end of the world I know but really really annoying!!!

Anyway, I need to go and get ready now, race starts at 11:30, I'll report later!!...........  Wish me luck!!

Thursday

Last couple of days seem to have gone well!  Behaving myself with my diet!  Lost some more weight but not as much as I've put back on, but, it's going back in the right direction.......  Again!  I need to stick to it this time, it's not much longer until the Great North Run!  I need to keep that thought in my mind!!!  Got to do it!!

Training going OK.  Well, it would be better if the weather was kinder!  But, April showers are determined to make their presence felt!

Right, need to decide if I am going out for a run this morning or going on the treadmill......  Only thing if I go out, I'll have to have a route around town and I'm not sure I've got enough confidence to go through town just yet......  Decisions decisions...........

Crashed out!

So, once again, I fallen off my diet!!  What do you do when you fall??  Get back up and try again!  So that is what I plan to do!!!!  Starting today, I am really going to try!  If I have something I shouldn't, I will just leave it at that and not carry on adding to it!  I have put back on the weight that I have just lost, needless to say I am really disappointed with myself!  Mind, I did enjoy my Saturday night out the other week with work mates!  It was fun!  Apart from hurting my back!!

I'm about to get ready for a 3 mile run, I'm not going to push for speed just a get me round will do I think!
Back to Ripon Runners tomorrow night with Trish so we'll do at least 5 miles there I guess!!

Also today, I am hoping to make a start on a cage for the Dragons!  We went to Harrogate yesterday to get a load of stuff......  Oops!  Spent too much!!  Phil's fault not mine! lol!!

Mother's Day

Got up, watched TV.......  Actually, watched the Waltons and now watching Little House On The Prairie.... Not seen that for AGES!!  It's the first episode!!

Hoping to go for a run after L.H.O.T.P.

Weight is going well!!!  Got on the scales this morning......  10 stone and 12.5 lbs!  Brilliant!!  Well chuffed with that!!

My son bought me a chocolate cake..........  nomnonomnom....  I was good though and only had a BIT!!

Day off!

Went back to work on Monday after a week off......  Really enjoyed the week off!  Went to see my sisters on Thursday, we went to Darlington and had lunch.  Then we hit the shops!!  I got myself a new sport bra, it's one that is inspired by the London Olympics.  

Work has been OK.  Nothing exciting.  

I'm going to get the TV tomorrow (the one that was found in the car park) well, that's if it's still there!!!  Fingers crossed!

Running has been going good!  I went about 3 times whilst I was off work, I did a new route of 6.38 miles on Saturday, it was good to have a different view!  Hoping to try for 10 on Sunday, to see if I will be able to manage my race on the Sunday after at Thirsk.  One can only try!

Diet going well!  Last couple of days been naughty though, but not too much damage done.......  Something must be working!!  :)  7.25 lbs lost so far!!

Right, time to get the family up now!  We need to gooooooooo!!!
