It's been a while since I blogged..... No-one has missed me I know, no-one reads these!! lol!
My weight is going GOOD!! I am now at 10 stone and 8.5 lbs! Well chuffed!! It did go up a bit but then went back down again! I am only half a pound from loosing a stone, and I am really pleased with that, I know it's slow going as I've been trying since the new year but I have only really started loosing it properly since 21 of May, so that is only nine and a half weeks!!
The running is going slow, I did get a bit of a cold last week, wasn't bad but it did knock me back a wee bit. I did 7.5 miles yesterday, found it tough but got it done. I'm meant to do 9 on Sunday, might try a 10..... I'm going for a long walk with my big sister on Saturday, she says that will be good for my training too! It's meant to be sunny so that will be nice! Just hope she doesn't walk too fast! lol.
Work is same old same old...... Just done six days in a trot, Sunday was a bit of a nightmare though! Self scans and coinstars going wrong didn't help matters!! AND everybody and their mother's decided to come shopping at 3:30 when we needed to get closed for four!! They had all bloody day!! ARGHHH!! Anyway, only one more Sunday to work before the Great North Run!
Along with thousands of other people, I am starting the New Year with a diet and exercise plan. I've started several times over the last year but failed. I stopped smoking on a New Year 11 years ago, so, maybe, a New Year is a good place to start with this !

Melmber, Rainton and weight!
Well, it's been a while!
Melmerby 10k went OK, it was a VERY hot day so times not too good, did it in 1:20:31, slower again on last year but not too worried.
Rainton 10k should have been better as weather was OK but training hadn't been done, did that in 1:23:33, again slower than last year, wasn't going to do it but got persuaded by friends, I'm glad I did it though because the medal is lovely and it was apparently the last one!!! Real shame that, it is a very nice race!!
So, the weight.......... Well, I am only 3/4 of a pound off loosing a whole stone!! (BMI (28.17 was originally 33.26 and obese) still saying overweight at but I am!!) Don't know what clicked but it might be either:
* The Wanted concert on July 15.
* A trip to go to see the Paralympics on September 3 (going with work! So chuffed about that one!!)
* Great North Run half marathon on October 16.
* My and hubbies holiday on October 1.
* David Essex concert on October 25!!
Such a busy back end of year! I guess the accumulation of all the above have helped, either way, I'll take it thank you very much!!

Melmerby 10k
Today I have the Melmerby 10k, one of my favourite races! Mainly because it was my first one! But, before I even get to the start line today, I found out that my daughter has thrown away my race no! Can't believe it!! Not the end of the world I know but really really annoying!!!
Anyway, I need to go and get ready now, race starts at 11:30, I'll report later!!........... Wish me luck!!

Thursday
Last couple of days seem to have gone well! Behaving myself with my diet! Lost some more weight but not as much as I've put back on, but, it's going back in the right direction....... Again! I need to stick to it this time, it's not much longer until the Great North Run! I need to keep that thought in my mind!!! Got to do it!!
Training going OK. Well, it would be better if the weather was kinder! But, April showers are determined to make their presence felt!
Right, need to decide if I am going out for a run this morning or going on the treadmill...... Only thing if I go out, I'll have to have a route around town and I'm not sure I've got enough confidence to go through town just yet...... Decisions decisions...........

Crashed out!
So, once again, I fallen off my diet!! What do you do when you fall?? Get back up and try again! So that is what I plan to do!!!! Starting today, I am really going to try! If I have something I shouldn't, I will just leave it at that and not carry on adding to it! I have put back on the weight that I have just lost, needless to say I am really disappointed with myself! Mind, I did enjoy my Saturday night out the other week with work mates! It was fun! Apart from hurting my back!!
I'm about to get ready for a 3 mile run, I'm not going to push for speed just a get me round will do I think!
Back to Ripon Runners tomorrow night with Trish so we'll do at least 5 miles there I guess!!
Also today, I am hoping to make a start on a cage for the Dragons! We went to Harrogate yesterday to get a load of stuff...... Oops! Spent too much!! Phil's fault not mine! lol!!

Mother's Day
Got up, watched TV....... Actually, watched the Waltons and now watching Little House On The Prairie.... Not seen that for AGES!! It's the first episode!!

Day off!
Went back to work on Monday after a week off...... Really enjoyed the week off! Went to see my sisters on Thursday, we went to Darlington and had lunch. Then we hit the shops!! I got myself a new sport bra, it's one that is inspired by the London Olympics.
Work has been OK. Nothing exciting.
I'm going to get the TV tomorrow (the one that was found in the car park) well, that's if it's still there!!! Fingers crossed!
Running has been going good! I went about 3 times whilst I was off work, I did a new route of 6.38 miles on Saturday, it was good to have a different view! Hoping to try for 10 on Sunday, to see if I will be able to manage my race on the Sunday after at Thirsk. One can only try!
Diet going well! Last couple of days been naughty though, but not too much damage done....... Something must be working!! :) 7.25 lbs lost so far!!

Happy Birthday to me!
So, got out of bed this morning......... Opened the 5 card I got, (3 from friends, 2 from sisters...... Note the lack from immediate family!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) So, went to my mum's. Had a nice chat! Back home and another normal day ensued!
Did plan a run but it rained none stop all day........... That didn't happen then!!
Well, that was my Birthday then, done for another year!! Don't know why I get excited about it really, should know better!! At least I didn't over eat from been pissed off!! Chuffed with myself on that one!!

Back to work!
First day back to work today after 3 days off sick and one day off normal. Went OK. But, as usual, managed to piss off a customer... Something about a meal for deal of 3 for £5, he had one wrong and wanted us to go pick him one, how are we meant to know what he likes??????...... Ho hum!! Other than that, it went OK!
Still not been out running though, might do some on treadmill tomorrow night but definitely going out on Wednesday, not sure how far or how long so we'll see how it goes.
Also, to also say I had 3 days off sick, I only put on half a pound, so, what with no exercise for a week and been off work, not bad!!
My daughter went out on her first real date on Saturday night. She went to see a movie at the pics.......... Think it went OK, not sure if she will be seeing him again but we'll see what happens.

OK, third time training for a race, third time I end up with a bloody cold!! Felt it coming on last week with a tickle in my throat, thought I'd managed to get rid of it by using first defence, now, it seemed to work and I thought I had got rid, but nooooo, I stopped using it and on Monday night, I went for a quick run and BANG, the cold hit me! Felt crap on Tuesday, Wednesday was not too bad but then this morning I woke up feeling really shite! So, phoned in sick! Two days off now! Said I would go back on Saturday but we'll see how that goes, but I can't see why not..........
So, no running since Monday night! Need to play catch up over the next 3 weeks!!

Felling good!
Well, diet's been OK. Not too worried. Went out on Saturday night though, so, a few extra calories there! Worth it though, had a brilliant night! Didn't suffer too much on Sunday, certainly could have been worse!! Ate a Sunday Roast too though, not brilliant for the diet but very yummy!!
Weighed myself this morning, 11 stone 4.5 lbs............ I think that's 3 lbs off! Happy with that!!
The training has been going OK, I had a run on Thursday, only two miles but the pace was good! I was pleased with it! I'm due to go for at least six miles today, just need to make sure I go!! Not sure what route I want to do though! I would prefer to go somewhere quiet but there is no such thing around here!!!
Anyway, will let you know how today goes later!!

Didn't happen, evening came along and it was clear that the 6 miler was not happening, resigned myself to not going at all..... Next thing I know it's just gone 8 pm and I go and put on my running gear, log a route and then just go....... I did 3 miles at an average pace of 12.18, it ended up been the fastest run I have done since September last year! It was cold, windy and occasionally rainy but I enjoyed it!! There was an accident at the bridge near kwik Fit, hope the person I saw laid down is OK. Don't know what happened though.
Just calculated my BMI, I am now 29.9 and that is classed as overweight, that's better than the obese I was in January!!
So, there we go!

Weekend off!! :D
OMG IT'S BLOODY COLD!!!!
Saturday today, went to my Mum's house on the bus today, saw my big Sis Pauline and Niece Hannah, also my great Niece Emily! Had a lovely day with them!!
Since I found out about the Great North Run I have been good with my eating.... I have lost 2lbs, but, the weekend is not over yet!! Got tea to go which consists of nom nom stake!!!! Delicious!!
Hoping to go for a run tomorrow! Not been today because going to see my family. It's been bloody cold though! I'm sat here freezing now!! So, we'll wait to see what tomorrow brings!!

Running 1 - 0 Diet
Right, here again!! Weight's up and down...... Nowt new there then!! It's always the weekend that causes problems, whether I'm at work or not!! So, guess I'd better be good for week then!
The running is going OK, set myself a schedule, and, for the first week (last week) I have kept to it!! This week, the snow had fallen outside and I really don't like to run in the snow..... I find it really scary!! Anyway, we'll see how it goes!!
Feeling good today! Had a nice chat with one of the Managers yesterday, went quite well, not like a certain someone else expected but there you go!!
Right, must get on! It's 10:30 am and I'm still in my dressing gown!! Not starting work till 2 though!! :)
OK, it's now the evening..... This morning I did a run on my treadmill....... O M G!! I ran for 4.35 miles and it took me 53 mins and 51 seconds..... Now here is the good bit........ I did it none stop!! So pleased with myself!!! Brilliant!!!

AGAIN!!
So, not been a good week or so! Why do I keep doing this?? I really can't understand!! Well, I guess I am just weak........ No staying power for anything....... I just need something to help me, I just don't know what..............................................
It was meant to be my half marathon today, the Brass Monkey. Jill Holt took my place, so it went to a good home!!
I hope to try to go for a run tomorrow. Just a gentle 3 or 4 miler...... Off to bed now. I need some sleep!!

Two Oooopsies!!
OK, so, first oopsie is that I had bit of a naughty day today..... Ate some marshmallows and chocolates....... Right, so, putting that behind me and going for a long run tomorrow.........
Second oopsie...... Forgot the car needed taxing! OMG!! Only 11 days late so that's probably a fine for us!! bugger! Getting it sorted tomorrow though!!
Last few days have been OK though. Work been OK, but not exercised much. Food been OK except for today. Never mind, back at it!! It's another day tomorrow and it's a day off! YAY!!

PANTS!
Been a couple of days now..... Went to the gym the other day (Thursday) really felt the difference of not going for a while! I was unable to do the same weights I used to do previously!! Still, at least I got there!!
Still not been for a run though!! ....... Guess that's the next big challenge!!
Diet's been going OK, not lost any more weight though but what I have lost is a bonus and I'll take that thank you very much!!
Been really pissed off today though....... Not helping things, but, to be honest, deep down, I know a run would help!!!!!!
Tomorrow!!!!

Day 3
Got up this morning and weighed myself, I can't believe I have lost 1 lb already, not sure if it was actual weight or fluid.... Either way, I'll take it!! lol.
Still not been to the gym though, might make myself go tomorrow. It's a confidence thing, but once I've been, it will be better!!
Went to the dentist today to make a start on getting a bridge made........ I've now not got a plate in and they've put in a temporary bridge, don't like how she's done it but I only have to put up with it until Wednesday morning!
Diet went well today, had a salad from Big Bites for lunch, then a piece of chicken and pasta with cauliflower cheese for tea, really enjoyed that although Beckie didn't like it!!
Watched TV all evening. Started to watch the Biggest Looser UK, I always like that, they give me inspiration!!
Almost time for bed now, see what tomorrow brings!!

Ready.....Set.....Go!
Got up and weighed myself this morning......... 11 stone, 8.25 lbs! Not good! Worked out my BMI too, and, I am classed as been obese! BUT only just! The obese category starts at 30 and I am 30.6 so I won't be in there for very long!!
So, we'll see what today brings and I'll be back tonight!!
Well, today brought not a bloody lot! I have sat and watched TV alllll day!! nearly 4 movies!! Diet been OK though, even though we had a take-a-way for tea, I had a chicken kebab with plenty of salad!! The weather was total pants and I didn't want to leave the comfort of a warm house!!
Right, time for bed!!

Get fit for 2012!
First day of the year!
Had a brilliant night last night. Got drunk with the rest of my family! Brought the New Year in with the rest of Ripon on the square as always! Then, to a pub and on to Dave n Sals house for a bit then back home! Woke up feeling a bit rough but not too bad! We went out for a lovely meal with the in-laws! Nice way to start the year! Got back, changed into something more comfy, watched Downton Abbey and Eastenders is on now......... Just finished Eastenders and Pat died! So sad!!
Not weighed myself yet, I'm saving that pleasure for the morning! I'll see the damage that Christmas has done! Not going to worry about it but I'm just going to pull my socks up and get myself sorted!! There was no point starting today when we were going out with the in-laws so tomorrow it is!! I have a week off work and the gym opens on Tuesday!!
So, here we go again!!!
